Scene Hunters, operated by FRANKB DIGITAL LLC, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information FRANKB DIGITAL LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects through the Scene Hunters platform, how we use it, and what rights you have. By accessing or using the Scene Hunters platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.


1. Information We Collect

To provide you with the best gaming experience, we collect specific types of data during your interactions with our platform:

  • Personal & Gameplay Information: When you register, we collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, and username, along with a securely hashed password. As you play, we automatically record your gameplay data, including score history, level progression, achievements, collection purchases, and leaderboard rankings.
  • Technical Data: We automatically collect technical information from your device, including your IP address, device type, browser version, and approximate location (limited to city/country level) to ensure the game functions correctly on your system.
  • Cookies & Trackers: We use cookies to maintain your active session. With your consent, we also utilize analytics cookies to understand usage patterns and marketing cookies to measure ad performance.

Notice for California Residents (CCPA): In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information: Identifiers (name, email, IP), Commercial Information (purchase history), Internet Activity (game interactions), and Inferences (skill level). We do not sell your personal information for monetary value.


2. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data strictly according to applicable laws based on the following grounds:

  • Contractual Necessity:We process your Account and Gameplay Data to provide the core services you signed up for, such as saving your progress and managing access to collections.
  • Consent:We send marketing communications and use advertising cookies only when you have explicitly opted in. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
  • Legitimate Interest:We analyze user behavior to improve our platform's stability, fix bugs, and prevent fraud. This processing is balanced against your privacy rights.
  • Legal Obligation: We retain certain transaction records to comply with tax and accounting regulations.


3. Consent & Withdrawal

Certain data processing activities require your explicit permission. You have the right to grant or withdraw this permission at any time:

  • Marketing Communications: You may opt out of promotional emails by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any email or adjusting your preferences in Account Settings.
  • Cookies: You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings (to block or delete cookies) or by using the specific opt-out tools provided by our advertising partners listed below. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.


4. Communications

We may contact you through email for two primary reasons:

  1. Transactional Emails:hese are mandatory service-related messages (e.g., password resets, purchase receipts, security alerts) required for the proper functioning of your account.
  2. Marketing Emails:With your opt-in, we send updates, challenges, and offers (approximately 1-4 times per month). You may unsubscribe from these at any time.


5. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We only share information with trusted service providers who are contractually bound to protect your data and process it solely for the purposes defined below:

  • Infrastructure & Payments:We use Vercel/AWS (USA/EU) for secure hosting and database management, and Stripe (USA) for processing payments. Scene Hunters does not store full credit card details.
  • Communication & Analytics: We use Brevo/MailerLite (EU) for email delivery and Google Analytics (USA) for understanding user behavior.
  • Advertising & Measurement:We utilize Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook/Instagram) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, track conversions (via Pixel), and create custom audiences. This processing is subject to the Meta Global Data Transfer Addendum


6. International Data Transfers

As an international service, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your residence, including the United States. To ensure your data remains protected, we rely on the following legal mechanisms:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs):Approved by the European Commission.
  • Global Data Transfer Addendum: pecifically covering data transfers from South America (including Brazil and Uruguay), Canada, and other jurisdictions to Meta’s U.S. servers.
  • EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework:For certified providers like Stripe and Google.


7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We categorize cookies into three types:

  • Essential:Strictly necessary for security and login (Session duration).
  • Analytics (Consent Required): Google Analytics cookies help us understand how you use the site (13-month duration).
  • Marketing (Consent Required): Meta Pixel and related cookies track ad performance and enable personalized advertising (up to 180 days).

8. Data Security

We implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit, database encryption at rest, and bcrypt/Argon2 hashing for passwords. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours in accordance with GDPR requirements.


9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.

  • Upon Account Deletion:Most data is erased within 90 days.
  • Exceptions: Transaction records are kept for 7 years for tax compliance; fraud records may be kept longer for legal defense.
  • Inactive Accounts: If you do not log in for more than 3 years, we will attempt to contact you before deleting your account.


10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you have specific rights regarding your data:

  • GDPR (EU/UK) & LGPD (Brazil): You have the right to access, correct, delete ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, and port your data.
  • CCPA/CPRA (California): You have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt-out of data sharing.

11. Children's Privacy


Scene Hunters is not intended for children under the age of 13 (USA) or 16 (EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover that an account belongs to a minor without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.


12. Changes to This Policy


We may update this policy periodically. Minor changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date. For material changes that affect your rights, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the platform.
